Effect of Titanium Dioxide and Silver Nanoparticles on Mitochondrial Dynamics in Mouse Testis Tissue

Abstract
This study was performed to investigate whether the toxicity of nanoparticles affected mitochondrial dynamics (mitochondrial fusion and fission mechanisms) in testicular cells of mice. Animals were assigned into three groups : control group , TiO 2 NP group , and Ag NP group. NPs were administered intravenously to mice with 3-day intervals. To determine the possible toxic effect of NPs on mitochondrial dynamics, the expression levels of mitochondrial fission - and fusion -related genes were analyzed.
